Frequently Asked Questions

How does New Image Medical Weight Loss work?

New Image Medical Weight Loss is designed to be more than a telehealth platform, but still simple for our clients.  You can start treatment in 3 easy steps.
1.  Complete a medical intake and if necessary have lab work done to verify a medical need for treatment.
2.  Speak to your new healthcare provider through a telehealth appointment.
3.  If medically appropriate, receive your medication in the mail every 30 days from a mail order pharmacy provider.
We want to enable you to form a long-term connection with New Image Medical Weight Loss so that we can provide ongoing care for your specific condition.  With that in mind, New Image Medical Weight Loss is designed for a patient seeking long-term care.

How much does New Image Medical Weight Loss cost?

The cost varies depending on the treatment plan.  Our very popular semaglutide plan starts at $249 per month.  That includes everything you need, from your online appointment to your medication.  There are no hidden fees or long-term contracts.
Most clients save over $1000 month by filling their order via New Image Medical Weight Loss.

What if I need a higher dose?

Providers on the New Image Medical Weight Loss platform prescribe up to 2 mg/week as medically appropriate of Semaglutide.  If the dose prescribed is above 1 mg/week, your monthly subscription price will increase by $100 each month.

Is this real medication?

Yes, all medications are made in a State Board of Pharmacy licensed sterile compounding pharmacy, or FDA license 503 b outsourcing facility.  We work with pharmacies licensed in all 50 states using only the highest quality ingredients.  Medically approved clients are typically offered prescription injections.  These are slowly absorbed by the body over a day or week to help reduce appetite and cravings.  The medication you may be prescribed is a compounded medication and is not associated with the Novo Nordisk company or the brand name medication Saxenda, Victoza, Wegovy, Ozempic.

How does this compare to brand name drugs?

The FDA approved brand-name drugs such as Saxenda, Victoza, Wegovy, and Ozempic are exclusively available from the Novo Nordisk company.  Mounjaro and Zepbound is exclusively available from Eli Lilly and Company.  New Image Medical Weight Loss does not claim any affiliation with or endorsement from the above-mentioned products or entities.  We do not offer any of the above-mentioned products, anyone seeking said products should discuss options with a licensed healthcare provider or pharmacist.
New Image Medical Weight Loss exclusively offers compounded medications which are made in a State Board of Pharmacy licensed sterile compounding pharmacy or FDA license 503 B outsourcing facility.  While these facilities are strictly regulated, the compounded medications they make are not FDA approved, as they are compounded based on individual providers prescription for a specified patient.  Strength, dose, route of administration, and other variables may make compounded medications different from FDA approved drugs which makes directly comparing results and risk profile between FDA approved drugs and compounded drugs difficult.
Any compounded drugs prescribed are based on a licensed provider's medical judgment based on a telehealth encounter and medical history.

How much weight will I lose?

Actual weight loss is dependent on a number of factors but many New Image Medical Weight Loss clients lose around 5% of their initial body weight.  Over 12 weeks it can be as high as 10%.  This equates to a weight loss of 10 to 20 pounds for a 200 pound person.
Everyone is different though.  The most successful patients work hard to make diet and lifestyle changes.  Healthy weight loss is often defined as 1 to 2 pounds per week.  Extreme weight loss is not a medically desired effect.

How soon will I receive my medication?

After a provider has prescribed a GLP-1 medication, or another weight loss option, we send your prescription to a licensed compounding pharmacy.  It typically takes 3-4 business days for the pharmacy to process the order which is then shipped via 2 day shipping.
Overall, most clients received the medication within 8-10 business days from when they speak to the provider.

How do I inject my medication?

Injecting the medication is simple.  We recommend alternating sites from the right to left abdomen every week.  You simply draw up the prescribed amount of medication in the syringe.  You then clean the area with alcohol.  Then pinch the skin with 1 hand and direct the needle between your fingers into the pinched skin and inject the medication.  Then dispose of the needle.

What is the age range for treatment?

Patient seeking treatment for GLP-1 programs need to be at least 18 years of age and no older than 75.
